VfB Stuttgart plans transfer double strike after record numbers
VfB Stuttgart is planning a transfer double strike after achieving record revenues of €383.6 million in the 2025 financial year. Following a strong season, the club aims to sign two top players: Dženan Pejčinović from Wolfsburg and Leo Sauer from Feyenoord. The Swabians finished 4th in the Bundesliga last season with 62 points and are looking to continue their growth.
Which players are in focus?
The VfB has set its sights on two young talents. Pejčinović, the 21-year-old striker, could join for around €22 million, while the 20-year-old winger Sauer is expected to cost approximately €10 million. Both players are set to take the next step under coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
Why the transfer double strike now?
After record numbers and a high shirt sales figure of 156,500, VfB Stuttgart has the financial strength to invest in the future. However, players like Bilal El Khannouss or Angelo Stiller must first be sold to secure the budget.
What's next?
Negotiations with Wolfsburg and Feyenoord are in full swing. VfB wants to underline its ambitions and prepare as well as possible for the upcoming season. With Pejčinović and Sauer, the club could take another step towards the Champions League.
