VfB Stuttgart: Deniz Undav plans to end his career with the club. The 29-year-old striker has extended his contract until 2029 and wants to end his career in Stuttgart. Undav said in an interview on the YouTube channel 'Hstryagency': 'A love has arisen here. I would like to end my career here, that's how far I'm going.' The DFB star has scored 57 goals in 117 games since joining VfB in 2023 and has thus made a significant contribution to the club's rapid rise. Vice-championship, cup victory and the repeated cup final this summer - all of this would hardly have been possible without Undav. Undav stays and is well paid. His new contract runs until 2029 and includes an option for an additional year. The striker will thus become the sole top earner at VfB. Undav told about the negotiations: 'Everyone knows that I feel comfortable in Stuttgart. I had three wonderful years here. So I thought to myself: 'Why should I leave?' I always told the advisors that I want to stay here.' About the financial part of the contract negotiations, the striker said: 'I had a very good season. Accordingly, it was clear that the negotiations would be different than three years ago. But I know that VfB is not as far as Dortmund or so, in terms of finances. You just have to find the common denominator. Luckily, we found a solution.' Undav stays and is well paid. Although he could have earned even more money elsewhere. He said: 'In the winter, I could have signed with another club for free. Then I would have gotten more signing bonus and a higher salary. But I fell in love with the club, the fans and the people here quickly. I just feel comfortable. And then it's not like we're all starving. My wife also wanted us to stay here.' Preferably until the end of his career. And maybe even forever? Undav: 'My plan is to stay here until the end of my career and then maybe do something in the club afterwards.'
